About Us

Dr. Alkek, a native Texan, graduated from the University of Texas in Austin and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He was chief resident in dermatology at Skin and Cancer Hospital of Temple Medical School in Philadelphia and head of dermatology at Carswell Air Base while serving in the Air Force. He has been a member of the clinical faculty of the Dermatology Dept. at UT Southwestern since its inception and still teaches there to this day. He is a past-president of the Dallas Dermatologic and the Texas Cosmetic Surgery Societies. He was the first dermatologist in Texas to specialize in cosmetic dermatology and surgery.

           Dr. Alkek discovered a need in treating certain skin problems and with the help of a cosmetic chemist, developed these ground-breaking products. His extensive knowledge of dermatology and his approach to skin care are reflected in the effective and scientifically sound skin care regimen.
